The ZEROVAL-K2H two-way ball valve meets the German TA-Luft regulation — the principal regulatory requirement for limiting fugitive emissions in chemical and solvent plants. Stem and body seals stay below the required leakage rate over time, tested and certified.

The cavity-free seat concept is an in-house development of ES Armaturen and is registered as a utility model at the German Patent and Trademark Office — not a copy, but a structurally independent design proven for years in food, pharma and chemical plants.

What is a two-way ball valve?
A two-way ball valve is a 2-port valve that opens or shuts the flow in a straight pipe run. With the valve open, the ball bore matches the pipe ID — full bore with no restriction. The ZEROVAL-K2H adds a fully cavity-free seat, making it suitable for hygienic applications.
What does TA-Luft certification mean for a ball valve?
TA-Luft (Technische Anleitung zur Reinhaltung der Luft) is the German regulation limiting fugitive emissions from industrial plants. A TA-Luft certificate proves that the valve's stem and body seals stay below the required leakage rate over time — mandatory in chemical, coatings and solvent plants in Germany.
What is utility-model protection?
The cavity-free seat concept of the ZEROVAL-K2H is registered as a utility model (Gebrauchsmuster) at the German Patent and Trademark Office. It is an in-house development of ES Armaturen — not a copy and not a licence, but a structurally independent design.
What sizes and pressure ratings are available?
The ZEROVAL-K2H two-way ball valve is supplied as standard from DN 15 to DN 150 at PN 25. Higher pressure classes are available on request.
How does the K2H differ from the wafer and compact ball valves?
All three are two-way ball valves. The K2H is the classic standard build with DIN flanged ends PN 25 — robust, TA-Luft certified. The Wafer ball valve ZEROVAL-WF is a more compact wafer build for DIN PN 16 mating flanges. The Compact ball valve ZEROVAL-KC carries the DIN 11864/2 aseptic flange contour directly on the body, for aseptic pharma and biotech piping.
